2016 Kansas City Heart Ball

The 29th Annual Heart Ball was held on February 27, 2016, and raised a record-breaking $1.2 million to fund local cardiovascular disease and stroke research, education, and awareness programs. This research benefits those like Winston Wahlgren, congenital heart defect survivor and 2016 honored guest. More than 1100 guests enjoyed cocktails, a gourmet dinner, auctions, and a special musical performance by Samantha Gossard and John Mueter of the Kansas City Lyric Opera. The after-party music was performed by Lost Wax & DJ Ashton Martin.

The 2016 Kansas City Heart Ball was very proud to have the leadership of Gordon and Marti Lansford, JE Dunn Construction and Kevin and Nicole Barth, Commerce Bank. We were also thrilled to partner with the Ward Family Heart Center and Drs. Jim and Lina O’Brien at Children’s Mercy Kansas City as they celebrated the first year of their pediatric heart transplant program.
